Lately, Jake has been napping with his parents....He starts out in his bedroom but when I woke up one morning last week, both he and Jeremy were snoring on the couch. Poor kids.
Last Friday, Jake had the coolest Valentine's Party at his school. Actually, I think I had more fun than he did even though I didn't get any pizza. He kind of acted bored-like
"Mom, where's my stinkin' candy already?" His stinkin' candy was all over his face immediately after we got home Friday afternoon! We love cupcakes!
Doesn't everybody wear their food while they eat it? It's the latest fashion in Pre-K!
Cracker Barrel should pay us for eating there so much. Usually, about half way through church on Sunday Jake will start asking if we're going to Cracker Barrel.
"I'll be good, Mama, if I can have a pancake and bacon!"
Another fabulous weekend for the books. Wonderful weather, wonderful family.
Below is what Jake thinks about our new president. Jake was snoring less than ten minutes after the presidential address began.
The weather was perfect for bike riding. Jake was zooming down the street on his Rocket when...wham!! He crash landed on hard asphalt chasing after his Mama! Below is a battle scar. We were so proud of his bravery for getting back up on the bike and finishing the ride home. Thank goodness for that--we could barely walk back to the house, let alone carry a giant and his bike!
The other day I found these old pictures of Jake while looking for something in the bottomless junk drawer. I didn't realize how cuddly and chubby he was! If you've seen Jake lately, he has lost all of his baby fat--nothing left from these pictures.
I think these were taken the week we were moving from Brandon, MS to Jacksonville-Jake at about 18 months.
He looks like Uncle Seals with this expression but everyone says that Jeremy made that baby and not me. I think they're both cute!I can't believe my man will be 4 soon! I don' t know if I can handle the first day of Pre-k!
On Sunday, Jake mastered the art of riding his bike without Mama and Daddy nearby! After a few minutes of uncertainty, he was off down the street. We had to run to keep up!
He is already asking for a bigger bike as he grows. This morning he even asked for a bike for his future brother or sisters (no, not anytime soon)!
Thank You Miss Wendy!!! The cake was delicious!! Jeremy, Jake, and I ate it for breakfast Saturday morning. The next game night we have, we're going to make you something special!
Jake was so proud of this cake and loved that Miss Wendy put the letter 'J' on there!
