Feeling Better

Jake was a little sick last week so I didn't get around to posting much. Below are just a few shots in our day at home trying to lower a fever.

The Dragon costume from last Halloween was resurrected in hopes of passing it along to cousin Austin, but Jake decided that it still fits (for high-waters) and thought it would make his fever go down even more. Right....
Our decorated Halloween cookies that Lovey gave us. Thanks Lovey!
We have our first t-ball game tonight. Wish the Red Sox luck!!

Labor Day Spectacular!

We had a fun filled Labor Day weekend-Lovey, Papa, Aunt Nan visited, we had our first tball practice, and Mississippi State actually won a game!
Below are just a few pics of Jake and his admirers.
"My Papa Bear sure does love me!"
"My Lovey says I'm the best!"

"Aunt Nan promised she would come to my tball game!"

Chillaxin'
Sorry-the tball practice pictures are not the best! I was a littler nervous about flying balls in the air so I stood exactly where I belonged...behind the fence.

We have practice tonight so wish us luck!

Joining Red Sox Nation

After yard work, we finished a great week with a little t-ball practice! Jake has his first practice this Tuesday night so we practiced a little over the weekend. We're really excited that Jake will be on team Red Sox (we love 'em!) this fall.

Wish us luck for a good season!
P.S. We are also more than excited that Lovey, Papa, and Aunt Nan will be visiting us this weekend! We cannot wait to see you!! Love you!

First Day of School!

Yesterday was Jake's first official day of Pre-K. He did better than Jeremy and I did-it was almost like any other day to him except he got to go to the 'better classroom because it has cooler toys.'
He only had one meltdown, which, in his defense, is rare. While in big school, the teachers have to call him by his legal name, Jacob. He immediately noticed that Jake was not used on his stuff and freaked out a little. His teacher, Ms. W., explained that he can still be Jake any time he wants but at big school, she has to call him Jacob. He did not care for that too much! However, he was excited to write his whole name as something different. He also recognized all of the words beginning with 'b' on the chalkboard. We are so proud of our little Monkey!
In his Papa's words,
"Put on a happy face! Put on a happy face! Put on a happy Face! Put on a happy face!"
Nobody can resist those blue eyes!

After a very long day, Jake survived his first day of Pre-K!! We are so proud of him!
And as an added bonus, Uncle Joe stopped by on his way from New York to Orlando. Jake had so much fun flirting with Joe's friends and wrestling on the floor.
Thanks Uncle Joe! We hope to see you next week!
