3 Weeks with M

We've had sweet baby Morgan for 3 weeks now and we are still slowly adjusting. It now takes me 2 hours to get dressed and leave the house with 2 kids but we'll get a system down one day!

We've had a great week with M and Jake-we've played more around the house, shopped (in small doses), and finally made it back to the beach. M slept through majority of these events while Jake talked through them. We wouldn't have it any other way :)
After our morning nap
Jake likes to put animals in bed with her. I think it's cute! It freaks Molly out though-she's not so sure about other animals in bed with her baby.
M's first swimsuit courtesy of Mama Patty. She was stylin' at the beach!
She slept through the whole 3 1/2 hours at the beach!
M's first mini-skirt

We're planning to come home to Mississippi in October for a short visit and USM football game. We hope to see all our family then! Jake has also requested a fishing trip and shopping at Bass Pro-be ready, Papa Bear!

A Busy 2 Weeks Old

Thanks to Lovey for handling laundry and cooking! Because of her we have survived our first 2 weeks. Morgan is still a doll so we're planning to keep her :)
She does stay awake several hours at a time. She had a small bout of stomach issues and gas but seems to be feeling better.

And Jake? Lovey and I took the kids antique shopping after Morgan's check-up and Jake game home with a LOUD dinosaur that talks a lot!

At 2 weeks old:
7 lbs, 14 oz.
21.5 inches long

Lovey is leaving us tomorrow and we'll definitely miss her taking care of us! We're now waiting on Aunt Amanda and Tater to come visit us in a few weeks. Thanks Lovey!!!!

Sweet Pea's First Bath

We officially have the most laid back Sweet Pea in the world! Nothing really phases her...other than waiting on her next bottle. NEVER be late with the bottle! The Princess waits for nothing!

We gave her her first bath and she smiled and cooed the whole time. Molly was really worried that we were doing something to her baby so she kept within arm's reach of her.

We're definitely enjoying being home as a family and having Lovey around to help us out over the next two weeks. We'll miss her when she's gone but hope to see our Mississippi families in the fall.

Call Me Stinky!

Jake and his Lovey made a sock puppet named Stinky. Daddy graciously donated a pair of socks for this creativity! Jake has given Stinky a crazy personality and is in the process of designing a friend for Stinky with Daddy's other sock.

Monkey has decided he also wants to write a song for his Daddy. We had so much fun spending down time with Jeremy on Father's Day that Jake wants to celebrate the special day more than once a year. Now we're working on instruments and a song to sing to Daddy to show him how much we love him. We really do love our Daddy!!!

Day 4 as a Foursome

Jake has been enjoying quality alone time with his Lovey and Papa while he can. Papa Bear drove back to Mississippi today but Lovey is staying with us two more weeks. She and Jake went to the movies and the book store today. Jake bought a monster-making kit and below are two of his finished products. He's very proud!!
Baby M snoozing-she really has been the perfect baby. She slept a total of 8 hours last night, only waking once to eat! We've been very blessed.
On a side note, the purple blanket is courtesy of our good friend Andrea. She finished it just in time for Morgan to use it in the hospital. We had multiple people ask where it came from and where they can buy one! Andrea-this could be a good side job for you if the whole doctor thing doesn't work out!
Daddy wraps her up just the way she likes it!
In preparation for Morgan's arrival, Jake also worked on a birthday cake idea for her. He said that every baby should love her first cake. She can't eat it just yet but Jake worked hard to make the sprinkles just right. And it tasted good too!

The Greer family is home and happy under one roof. Give us two weeks of seclusion and we'll be stir crazy!

Sweet Pea is Here!

Morgan Love Greer
July 7, 2010
7 lbs, 2 oz.
20.25 inches

She's here!! Morgan was born this morning at 9:30am. When the doctor pulled her out, she immediately grabbed his suction wand and held on with her death grip! He had to pry it out of her perfect little hands. We confirmed then that she's our little spitfire!

Jake is madly in love with his sister but is ready for Mama and baby to come home to play. He bought her a green frog named 'Mike' and makes sure she has it when he's around. He loves his girls!
Checking in this morning
Morgan and her Proud Papa Bear
Jake making silly faces. He's got on one of his 'Big Brother' shirts-he bought her a 'Little Sister' onsie to wear with his other cool shirt!

Just Like His Father and Papa

Jake LOVES tools-any kind, but especially those with lasers. In fact, he wants to take his savings and buy a new laser level for himself....since I won't let him play with mine anymore. That would be third one we've purchased in 6 months.
Yesterday this is what he looked like as he 'worked' around the house. I'm not sure what the sword does but he wore it in his underwear majority of the time until he realized it looked better on his head! He was also using his chin to hold Daddy's stud finder!
In other news, Lovey and Papa will be here Tuesday in anticipation of Morgan Love's arrival. We check in Wednesday morning and hopefully this Kung-Fu Queen will make her appearance by Wednesday afternoon. We're ready to see our firecracker!!

Happy 4th of July!
