Naked.

Why do we feed our child naked?

Exhibit A:

She literally is covered head to toe in pop tart! This includes the ins and outs of her diaper. With clothes on, it's much, much worse!

*On a side note, this is after an early morning bath. Sweet Pea decided to smear her morning poo all over her bed early this morning!

Muffins.

We love muffins!

Baby eats sans clothing now because she loves to smear and save her food. Muffin and cheerio crumbs were in and around her diaper. There were also cheerios stuck to her underarms, chest, and hair.

Good thing our dog is here to lick her clean!

Beignets.

After the painful loss and trip to North Mississippi last week, we decided to take the kiddos to New Orleans for a day of fun. Monkey and Sister loved the aquarium as well as the horses in the Quarter, crazy people talking to themselves, and maps everywhere.

Monkey loves a good map.

Before our first trip to Cafe du Monde, we told Monkey how beignets are the best. He'll never eat anything as good as them ever again (at least in the beignet category).

He was very, very skeptical.

Baby Girl will try anything at least once. I think she was checking out other people's food and made her decision early on that she would always love sugar.

Worth the wait!

After 2 visits and 6 orders, our animals love Cafe du Monde as much as we do. Success! I think both could eat flour and sugar as a square meal every day.

We miss our Grandy but are thankful that he's no longer suffering.

Stinker.

I couldn't help myself-she's just too cute! We attempted birthday pictures of the Big Girl but her mischievous little personality came through in all of the pictures. She's a busy girl!

Working hard to spread all of the toys around the freshly cleaned living room. I don't mind!

For Papa.

Us with Nell Parker-she was my grandmother's best friend. Nell Parker confirmed that Sweet Pea looks, acts, and eats just like her late great-grandmother. Good thing we named her Love!

We miss those great southern accents. They don't come like that anymore.

Happy Summer! We're off to the pool!

11 Months.

Sweet Pea is 11 months old today-she's going through such a fun phase but I'm always sad to see my baby growing up.

At 11 Months:

Mama, Daddy, Baby, Bye, Bubba, No, Hey

No teeth, but eating all solid foods

Will try anything once (our daredevil)

Loves Chinese food (thank goodness!)

Crawling. Everywhere.

Happy 11 months! We can't wait to celebrate her first birthday next month!

Okay, so Sweet Pea has been crawling for several weeks now and I'm just now posting video. I'm new to the video-posting world.

She will be 11 months old in a few short days and we're in the midst of planning her first birthday. We hope that our friends in town and family can make it!
