Better Late.

Than Never.

I'm a little late posting Christmas pictures but, in our defense, we didn't really get into Christmas too much this year. We'll try harder next year.
First attempt at a nice picture before church.
The only decent brother/sister picture to come of it. She's a busy girl.
Happy Birthday Jesus! Every year we make Jesus and Santa a red velvet cake because we just know that Santa gets tired of all those cookies! And, it's sugar free too.
Santa left a note so Monkey must have been good again this year.
Thank you Aunt Mimi! We love the cash register and all it's bells and whistles!
Thank you Aunt Amanda!! The purse goes everywhere Sweet Pea goes.
Monkey loves his Ninjago from Aunt Mimi!
And all of his books from Aunt Amanda!
Poor Sweet Pea needed a break after the festivities-after nearly 4 weeks of strep, sinus and ear infections, and head colds, we are all finally starting to feel better.

Happy Anniversary to My Big Honey! I love you!

Dear Santa...

Got that?
Thanks!

I couldn't let Sister get away with only being seen in USM colors....
She makes maroon and white look good!

Purses.

Disclaimer: Please ignore the mess in the pictures! My living room was taken over by a toddler!
Behind this binky is one of the most beautiful smiles!
Big Girl loves her purses. In fact, she struts around the house and stores with her bling on. You don't come between a girl and her love of all things glitter.
She even picks out her clothes now when we shop!

Sassy Girl! Happy 17 months!

On a side note, Sweet Pea is the exact same age Monkey was when we moved to Florida just over five years ago. Looking back, I can't believe he was that tiny. He is still my sweet little man!

I guess we know which team colors she looks best in!

Makes her Daddy proud!

A Kid Thanksgiving.

Our cute kids love Mississippi! (So do we, even though we don't live there anymore!)

What did they do while Mom and Dad were on vacation? I'm so glad you asked....
Deer hunted
Played in cotton bales
Found a turtle shell (dead turtle is still in the shell...and living in my garage)
Rode 4-wheelers
Not sure what the boys did here....
Never missed the opportunity for snack time
Rode horses
*Side of Cuteness: Sweet Pea waved like a beauty queen to everyone as she rode around!
More horse riding
Shot a gun for the first time (under Papa's supervision)
And generally played in the dirt and outdoors!

Baby Girl and Big Brother had a great vacation with their grandparents and aunts, uncles, and cousins! While the Big Man and I felt like the Griswalds' during our vacation, we're happy the kids experienced true country living!

We love him!

Carousel.

Over the weekend, we took Thing 1 and Thing 2 to our local carousel in St. Augustine. Sweet Pea was scared at first but, by the end, was patting her horse and calling it 'dog, dog.'

As always, Monkey had a great time!

Halloween pictures to come. Happy November!

Happy Fall Y'all!

We've been so busy since I started back to work....good busy, but busy. Big Girl had her first (of many I assume) double ear infection and our Lovey flew in and saved us. Big Girl and Big Brother were able to spend a few days with their favorite Lovey so that Jeremy and I could work.
Monkey painted some of the most awesome pictures for my new office. He's so creative!!
We took the kiddos to the Pumpkin Patch. Sweet Pea was in the midst of her ear infection so she wasn't too impressed.
Sweet Pea figured out how to ride her toys. This is a huge accomplishment in this house since we're all athletically challenged!
Our family of pumpkins.
Special thanks to Money for decorating them!

Our Sweet Pea also officially started walking last weekend by herself! We're so happy that Lovey was here to witness and enjoy it. Now she's into everything and even more independent! I have video of it but can't get it loaded just yet. Patience, please!

Happy Halloween!

Survival.

We have officially survived our first week as 2 working parents with 2 children. We had 1 stomach virus, several breakdowns, 1 face painted, and very little sleep. So far, so good!

We ran Monkey by our annual Fall Festival so he could get tattoos like his Daddy. He has always wanted them so I guess they'll be in his very distant future.
He likes playing with all of his friends in his after school program but he's still not crazy about being away from us for so long. I miss my afternoons and freedom with him but know this is the best opportunity for our family.

Sweet Pea more or less survived her first week at school. I believe she went from crying 4-5 hours a day to 1-2. Success if you know her! This is, by far, the longest I've ever been away from her at one time. She's learning to like her teachers and already has a friend that they know can calm her down. On Day 3 of school, she even got in trouble for eating off of her friends' plates! My girl does love to nibble!
I caught her reading Dave Ramsey this morning. It's never too early to teach our children good financial planning!
It's a duck tail! Her red-ish hair is growing!
Smiling through her fever and diarrhea. Poor baby was miserable all weekend.
Sister loves to open and play in the cabinets. Typically, there's nothing that she can really get out on her own. However, this week she learned how to open cereal boxes and get what she wanted. Two bites and she was done and walked/wobbled away.

One month until we see friends and family for a few short hours in Mississippi!

15 Months

We celebrated 15 months with Sweet Pea yesterday. Needless to say, she's our spitfire!
Pretending to pack up and leave.....
Helping Big Brother with his homework.
Chillaxing!

(Sorry the pictures are fuzzy-I took them with my phone.)

At 15 months:
21 lbs. (30th percentile)
32 inches (50th percentile)
Not walking, but almost there

Favorite Words:
'Helllooooo!'
'Dog Dog'
'Noooooooooo'
'Ball'
'What's that?'
'Bye Bye'
'Dadda' (this will pass as I hope she'll say Mama more)
'Hey Baby'
'Bubby'

She can dress and undress herself, take her diaper off, climb in and out of chairs, bathe herself, and take her carseat straps off (this is not good).

Baby starts school on Monday since I'll be going back to work. We're nervous but know she's in good hands!

On a Big Brother note, my boy scored 2 runs in his t-ball game last night!!!

He's got his Daddy's sense of humor!

Scouts.

Monkey joined our local Boy Scouts a few weeks ago and he loves it! Who knew getting badges/awards could be so much fun?!
Before his very first Pack meeting. My boy is growing up!
He was so proud to be a part of the only Den getting patches that night! He is definitely our over-achiever!

And I couldn't leave out the Little Sister!

She is as sassy as ever. She now mimics what her brother does, from bathing to putting shoes on. She loves him and whatever he does.

A few changes are happening so the family and I are really excited and nervous for this next adventure. We'll keep you posted!
