Almost.

It's coming, slowly, but surely.
Crawling is also just around the corner. Wish us luck!

Mississippi Ramblin'

Picture the busiest 6 days of 'vacation' you can and then throw in and add at least 2 kids....our Mississippi vacation! I forgot to take pictures until the last 2 days so my apologies to majority of J's family for not capturing the week.

What did we do, you ask?
Loved on our Mamaw and Grandy.
Saw the butterfly exhibit at the Natural Science Museum.
Sweet Pea doesn't care for science (like her mother).
Climbed a spider web with our cutie cousin.
Could they look any more alike? I think they could pass for brother and sister!
Checked on the trees. Monkey didn't seem to care that in 59 years he and Sweet Pea can cut the trees down and make a little cash. Baby Girl wanted to eat the tree, not pose with the tree.
Love on Granddaddy.
She LOVES her Great-Grandaddy! I was so surprised to see her reach for him but she couldn't keep her hands off of him!
And, finally, come home! Monkey bought a few toys guns that he wanted to show off. This is how he chose to dress for t-ball practice tonight. Crazy kid.

We had a wonderful time visiting with friends and family and hope to see everyone again this summer!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

*No, he's not torturing her. She was cackling so hard she couldn't keep her head still. This girl can't get enough of her Monkey!

Playtime.

Two peas in a pod.
Happiest when they're together.

Nap Time...Sorta.

Sweet Pea has never been one to nap more than 30 or so minutes at a time...and that's twice a day (i.e. No break time for Mama). However, she is generally still a happy girl minus naps!

I found her like this today-she thinks it's funny to stick her hands out of the crib. As I type this, she's in bed talking now.
Lovey-she REFUSES to sleep without this blanket. When she's really tired, she'll cover her face with it!
Baby was officially 8 months old on March 7th.
Accomplishments:
Mastered art of holding bottle and talking
Rolling. Everywhere.
Says 'Bah' for bottle and/or her Bubby
'Mama'
Holds breath underwater for a few seconds
Sticks spoon in her mouth but leaves food on her face
Pulls herself out of her carseat, Boppy chair, and stroller
Eats 'big people food:' mashed/sweet potatoes, muffins, eggs, yogurt
LOVES chapstick (not to eat, but applied to lips)

Giggles nonstop. Happy Girl.

Milestones.

Both kids are growing faster than I care for, but we're enjoying every minute of it! Last week began our 4 months of every-night-busy-schedule. Between baseball and karate, our free time has diminished to one afternoon a week.

Sweet Pea is more adorable than ever. I am loving the dress up time and she seems to enjoy the constant attention every where we go. Look at her-you can't help but want to love on her!
She started holding her own bottle last week (37 weeks officially). She's been able to hold it off and on for awhile but now she doesn't let us help her with it. Princess demands to do some things herself!
Monkey had a HUGE week in karate. First, he broke his first board! I couldn't believe it (don't worry, it was plastic) but am so proud of him. Second, he earned his first star for good behavior. Apparently, these are a big deal....almost as important as the lunch star at school. He's really into the karate thing-watch out!
We spend a lazy Saturday and Sunday at home playing games and watching lots of cartoons. I think our family really needed this.
Sweet Pea and Monkey play so well together-she's content as long as he's near her. He seems to love it too!
In a way it's sad to see them both growing and changing so fast but I'm very thankful that I get to be home with them to experience every minute of it.
