Go Mississippi!

Last week Monkey experienced the country life with a week long 'vacation' to Mississippi with his grandparents. He loved, loved, loved the freedom he had on the farm! His favorite part of the vacation (why did I bother asking?)....peeing outside!

We're happy he enjoyed his time on the farm but are even happier to have him home again. I see lots of farm livin' in his future!

How does a 53 week old toddler (baby, no more) spend her time?

After 5 teeth in 7 days, she takes her Papa (and mini-me) for a yummy Cracker Barrel breakfast. Pancakes for all!

Then she discovers that stairs are for climbing.

And finally, she continues to eat at least one bite of food off of everyone's plate. We call her 'The Vulture' for this very reason!

Sweet Pea has blossomed even more since the Big Birthday!

Par-tay!

We celebrated Sweet Pea's 1st Birthday on Saturday with a little cook-out with friends and family. We're so thankful for all who came out to celebrate with us! Below are just a few pictures from the big day. My camera battery naturally died just about the time she was digging into her giant cupcake. Just so you know, she ate 2/3 of her cupcake!!! She LOVES food!

One Year Stats:

19.12 lbs

29.25 inches long

Favorite foods: all fruit (especially strawberries and grapes), cereals, m&ms, chicken....basically anything set in front of her!

Words: Mama, Daddy, Bubby, baby, duck, yeah, no-no, 'hey you,' 'oh yeah!'

Baby is pulling herself up on furniture and standing for minutes at a time. She seems to have turned into a toddler overnight!

Also, our proudest moment: Sweet Pea got her first tooth two days before her birthday and her second two days after!!!

We had a wonderful Birthday Celebration and are so appreciative of our family and friends that were able to share this special milestone with us. We love you!

I still can't believe today is the Big Girl's 1st Birthday! The year has gone by so fast but I'm so thankful to have been home with both my kiddos this year.
