Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!

We've had a wonderful Christmas this year! Jeremy and I are so blessed to share this holiday season with our sweet babies and good friends and family.

A few pictures of thanks and such:
Not really Christmas-y, but Sweet Pea was happy to go to Wal-Mart yesterday. She loves the sweet senior citizens that always gush over her cuteness.
Happy Birthday Jesus!
Our new favorite Christmas tradition is making a birthday cake for Jesus (he prefers red velvet) and celebrating on Christmas Eve.
Santa must prefer red velvet too-I'm sure he can only have so many cookies in one night before he's ready to move on to the next dessert. He also leaves notes for the kiddos. Monkey was surprised to learn that Santa watched him at school. Let's hope this makes our 2nd semester of kindergarten a little easier!
Santa's loot.
We also adopted a little girl from our local Angel Tree. As a family, we really enjoyed buying for our angel and making her Christmas special.
Mamaw Romie and Grandy-Thank You for our first Bibles!! I still have my very first pink Bible that y'all gave me in Christmas of 1986! We'll always cherish these.
M was happy to see her Bubby opening gifts!
Aunt Amanda, Lala, and Uncle Will-Thank You for the awesome art set! We've already worked on our family portrait!
Aunt Mimi, Uncle Kevin and cousins-Thank You for the adorable outfits! Blue will definitely make her gorgeous blue eyes pop!
Also, Thank You for the grooming kit-now Monkey can groom with his Daddy! He did ask if this would turn his hair grey and we assured him that his hair would not fall out or fade for many years to come :)
Aunt Amanda, Lala, and Uncle Will-Thank You for the new toys. Not only are they fun to play with, but they taste yummy and delicious too!

We are now anxiously awaiting for our Lovey to get here for a fun-packed week. Next weekend, J and I will share another amazing year of marriage as well as watch our favorite Bulldawgs play in the Gator Bowl.

Merry Christmas!

Go Eagles!

As I blog, my handsome boys are in St. Petersburg watching their favorite Golden Eagles play football. It's so stinking adorable that Monkey wants to, not only look like his father (minus the grey hair), but dress like him too!
Go Eagles!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Vacation, Monkey Style

For our first day of Christmas vacation, we made gingerbread cookies. More were eaten than decorated but who cares?! The point is to eventually eat them anyway!
Showing off his culinary skills
Sweet Pea didn't seem that impressed with our family holiday tradition.
That icing can was full before Monkey got his hands on it. He ate more than he decorated with. Hyper does not begin to describe the next 4 hours.
Visual proof that Baby does like her father....sometimes.
"Mama, take my picture with the crazy eyes!"

Cuties

Monkey so proud of his bat!
And one happy Sweet Pea before church!

A Rare Moment

Jeremy finally broke our stubborn baby! For the last 22 weeks, she has refused to nap on her daddy. I was the only one she would sleep with. Naps are definitely tricky with this one. After 20 minutes of squealing and screaming, she gave in. I don't know if Jeremy or Morgan was happier.
It was the best 2 hour nap for all of us!

Twinkies!

If, for one second, you ever wonder who Sweet Pea looks like: check out Papa Bear! They have the exact same profile and smile. I guess this means my dad would've been a really cute baby girl (sorry Daddy...we do love you!).
She seems to like her twin too. She actually let someone besides her favorite mother hold her during Thanksgiving. Big Step.
Happy 20 weeks Baby Love!
In Monkey news, did you know my kid is so dang creative?!? He's definitely more artistic than I ever was. If you've ever been to our house, you've seen our doors. I should really take pictures of them one day. Anyway, Monkey decorated them with original art work for each family member. Last week, he made brightly colored skulls and cross bones (I'm not a bad parent but don't ask me where he saw these!).
Today, he decided to make Sweet Pea a cupcake for her door because 'she's the sweetest baby in the whole world.' Man, I love these kids.

Growing Too Fast!

I really haven't taken any pictures over the last week of our Sweetness. I had a bout of strep throat and Jake had some kind of bug last week. We weren't the best of company but our little Princess was there to entertain us the whole time. And (cross your fingers) she hasn't gotten sick....yet.
I apologize for the old picture but promise to post new ones this week as she celebrates 20 weeks with us on Wednesday. We are ready to celebrate our first Christmas as a family of four and continue to spoil both wild animals rotten!
Sweet Pea is rolling over and talking even more. I didn't think a baby could stay awake all day and talk non-stop but this one can! She lights up when her 'Bubby' enters the room and refuses to take her eyes off of him. She is also eating (and loving) oatmeal, carrots, sweet potatoes, and bananas. She has the chubbiest, sweetest little legs and painted toes now! These groceries are good to her!
We are so thankful to share our first Thanksgiving with Lovey and Papa in 5 years and very blessed to have family willing to travel this far to see our sweet babies.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

My Bulldawg Is What Color?

Many Floridians assume that, because we have a bulldog in our front yard, that we are Georgia fans. We. Are. Not. In fact, thanks to the artistic direction of our creative 5 1/2 year old, our bulldawg bleeds all sorts of colors.
Monkey had a little fun with his sidewalk chalk while Daddy washed the truck over the weekend.
So proud of his work!
He definitely inherited the artsy stuff from his Mama!
Proud of the chalk dirt!
Our Monkey is just so stinking smart and cute!

Big Brother: Protector and Entertainer!

Monkey really, really loves his sister! I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual too. She lights up and giggles, slobber pouring from her mouth, when she hears or sees him!
He thought it would be funny to give Baby Girl a third eye....she didn't seem to mind.
The pictures below are not the most flattering of our sweet ones but Monkey insisted I take a picture tonight of him holding his baby. He wants her to call him 'Bubby' when she starts talking and he is positive that will be her first word!
We tried out the rice cereal tonight and it was not a hit. She prefers her meals in liquid form.
Sweet Pea had her 4 month check up this week:

Weight: 16.10 lbs (97%)
Height: 24.5 in (75%)

These past 18 weeks have flown by with two little wild ones but we have a feeling that it only gets better and better!

Too Adorable Not to Share!!

Watching Skippyjon Jones in the Character Parade at school.
Scroll down to the next post to see more!

Monkey'in Around!

As he said earlier, "I'm a maaaddddd Monkey!" I'm pretty sure he meant this in a good way! Our little fellow has been growing and changing even faster since he started Kindergarten. He is the BEST big brother a little girl could ask for and, of course, a huge blessing to Jeremy and I.

Last week, Monkey was part of the Character Parade at school. Students had to dress as a character from their favorite book. Not one to join ordinary-dom, he went as the one-eyed chihuahua from Skippyjon Jones, Lost in Spice. It's a must read for all youngsters!
Below is the Christmas List we've been working on the last few weeks. His eyes are bigger than his parents' bank accounts! I'm sure Santa will take care of him this year.
*Grandparents-if you need ideas for gifts (but please do not feel obligated to buy!), call me!
Monkey is excelling at school. He can now read and write the days of the week and months of the year with no help. At home, we're reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid and he can read a ton of words and sentences!
We're so proud of our firstborn and cannot wait to see what he'll be doing next!

It's Been 4 Months Already?

I can't believe Sweet Pea is 4 months old today. It's amazing how much things have changed at the Greer house this year-new house, new baby, new school, new stay-at-home job....we've been blessed in so many ways!
M is growing like a weed. Baby Girl giggles and talks a lot more than she sleeps. She follows voices around the room, holds herself up with her arms, has rolled over once, is extremely ticklish, loves just the sight of her big brother, is teething and drooling, and loves to be held as much as possible (I don't deny her the last one).
When Monkey was a baby, Jeremy and I would fight (playfully) over who would get to rock him to sleep. Now we rotate-one reads with Monkey before bed while the other rocks baby to sleep. Both are wonderful so it's impossible to choose our favorite!

Monkey-he will be an extremely scary mummy/skeleton for Halloween this year. Beware! He has been doing so great at home and in school so the Big Man will get a post all of his own later this week. We're so proud of our Kindergartner!
Happy Halloween!

Vacation, Mississippi Style!

There are so many wonderful things to do while vacationing in Mississippi:

1. Play with your (future) dinner.
2. Give Bully a ride.
3. Visit Granddaddy.
4. Roll around on the ground with Bella.
5. Tire + Swing=Fun!
6. Take the most adorable nephew to Bass Pro for some light shopping.
*On a side note, doesn't Austin look a bit like Sweet Pea????
7. Take family pictures beside a giant igloo (after eating at said igloo).
We are so thankful to see so many of our friends and family while in Mississippi. Monkey and Sweet Pea both enjoyed the 'spoiled rotten time!'

My Kids Are Adorable!

Monkey joined the '100 Club' at school!!! We're so proud of him for counting to 100 for his teacher. It's really not a huge feat for him (he can count to 200+) but we've been trying to get him to take more of an interest in school. He's bored to tears and acting out (talking) so this was a little fun for him. We immediately went to Wal-Mart for his reward! I love my Monkey!
We're working on our skeleton and mermaid costumes for Halloween. Monkey found these glow-in-the-dark gloves at the Dollar Store-it's still hot here and he wears these all the time, even to bed! It's a little quirky!
Sweet Pea is growing into a chubby bunny and we love it! Her short temper is starting to show (she inherited this from her Daddy) but we are still blinded by her general sweetness.
I LOVE chubby baby feet!
Do not let this picture fool you: it's still hot here but we had one 'cool' day where she had to wear pants to get Monkey from school. She's not a fan of the rain but we're dealing with that :)
We can't wait to see friends and family next week in Mississippi!
