I Have No Reason NOT to Blog!

So the 5 weeks have been pretty insane in Greer Nation! This may be a long and boring post, so brace yourselves!

In May, I was let go from my position with the American Cancer Society. My job, along with 40 others, was eliminated to better conserve donations and funds. I was completely torn about returning to work after Morgan gets here so this downsizing made the decision easier. Since then, Jake and I have been busy but taking time out to enjoy the pool!

We also bought our first house in May! We are so excited to start this part of our life. I don't have any pictures because I'm extremely pregnant and have no desire to decorate until I can see my feet again. We do love our house-it's 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a loft/play area. We also have a beautiful view from our patio of a lake! Jake loves having his new room and he got to choose what color he wanted to paint it. I will attempt to take pictures this week of Jake and Morgan's room and post them for our Mississippi family. Again, nothing is really decorated. Sorry.

Jake graduated from Pre-K June 10th. Lovey and Papa were able to come down for the spectacular event (they also helped us move that weekend). Jake's class had to recite math problems in order to graduate. We were so proud of him!! They also did a little song at the end with sunglasses on because they were too cool for school! He's excited to have the summer at home with me and Morgan. He'll start kindergarten in the fall our neighborhood school across the street from our house.

Lastly, I'm 37 weeks pregnant and there are NO signs that Morgan will make an early arrival. However, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. There is a full moon this weekend....We're still on for a scheduled section on July 7th. Lovey and Papa will be here again for the big day. Jake picked out all of her hospital outfits, including matching socks and bows, and has his 'Big Brother' shirts washed and ready to go. We are really excited and nervous to meet our Kung-Fu Fighter!

Below are the only pictures I've really taken in the last 4 months. I promise to be better at this again but I'm sure our one reader has already moved on to a more interesting blog by now. I should be more devoted to this, right? It's not like I have anything else to do....

Queen of Procrastination

I can't find the time or energy to blog anymore. I can't even remember the last time I used my camera. Poor Jake will have no memories of his 5th birthday and we'll have no proof that I actually carried and delivered Morgan. I hope other Moms are better at this than me!

We went to Mississippi a few weeks ago and this is the one (but extremely important) picture I came back with: Me and my new niece, Mary Adrianne.

I'm in love. And she's in love with me.

Baby Morgan is set to make her appearance July 7th. Maybe then I'll post pictures of the pretty one!

Oh, and Jake, you ask? Well, my t-ball playing Monkey got the game ball last weekend for hitting the ball so hard, he made it to second base! He's definitely proud of that moment and immediately asked if he could give the ball to his sister. He's a sweetie!

Please Do Not Touch the King's Feet!

My sweet baby turned 5 years old last week! He had a Scooby-Doo birthday cake at school and then we took him to the fair over the weekend. Thank you so much to all our family that mailed him gifts-he LOVES getting packages in the mail!

Jake bought this lemur at the fair. He woke up extremely early and made a crown for King Julian (from the Madagascar movies) and insisted that Jeremy take a picture. Sorry for the underwear shot!

King Julian eats dinner with us (bananas), makes pooties on Jake, and 'talks too much' -all of this according to our Imagination Mover! Jake had him in the corner most of the weekend for making pooties. Crazy kid!

We'll be in Mississippi April 21-24 and hope to see as much family as possible! Our only request is Jerry's Fish House on Friday night-it was a Greer family tradition and we want to keep it going.

Baby Morgan Update:

She's growing! At our last doctor's appointment, she was projected to be about 8 pounds and roughly 22-24 inches long. She's definitely not inheriting the Love genes! She loves to kick box in my belly and seems to enjoy hot showers. I think this one will be a handful!

I Give Up.

I know. I don't blog anymore. I give up. Morgan has drained me of all energy and knowledge.

But I know it's not fair to neglect our fans of Jake pictures. So here you go!

Jake had his first t-ball game last weekend. He's a Little Pirate now and absolutely loves it! He made it to second base and was really happy to whack the ball.

Our favorite friends, Andrea and Marty, came to Jax on their way to Disney World. If I ever used my camera anymore, I would have taken pictures of them. Instead, we used our phones to snap a picture of Jake eating candy. He is sitting next to Marty if that makes any difference.
I went out of town for work at the beginning of March. While gone, Jake and Jeremy took a few days off for some 'Man Time.' Jeremy bribed him with candy. But Jake still loves me the most.

After a fun few days with Daddy, Monkey was worn out!

Mama and Daddy also came for a visit and brought us a baby bed for Morgan. Hopefully, she'll have a room to come home too instead of a pile of stuff in the corner! We're really excited to see her move around-Jake and I believe she has natural rhythm. She definitely moves to the beat of her own music.

I say I'll get better at posting again but that's more than likely not true. Bear with me!

Lots Going On!

Jeremy, Jake, and I are happy to welcome our new addition, Morgan Love, to the family in July. She's already a sassy girl! While trying to take pictures, she kept squirming around and dancing in my belly. She's definitely going to give us a run for our money!

We surprised Jake with his inaugural trip to Disney World last weekend. He absolutely loved the scary rides! I'm still shocked that he tried something so new and didn't get upset. We had a great time at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios and even bought a few toys for the ride home. Jake bought a toy car and Star Wars gun. He also picked out a 'Mashter Yoda' potato head for Morgan. He's going to be the best big brother!
We're busier than ever lately trying to get ready for a kindergartner and newborn in the house. Lots of changes heading our way this summer! We'll keep you posted!
